About Us

Warren Charles is a womenswear shop on Brockville Road, on the hill above Dunedin. We sell skirts and dresses: four mini skirts and four dresses, chosen so one rail covers a Saturday market, a family lunch and a dinner in town.

What we sell

The skirt range runs from a lace tiered A-line with a full elastic waistband to an asymmetric plaid cut with a handkerchief hem, plus a floral woven shape and a polka-dot denim that stretches where it needs to. The dresses are all knit: a boat neck with a waist tie, an off-shoulder bodycon, a ribbed maxi that skims rather than clings, and a sleeveless pointelle with a front notch. Nothing is cut so short that it stops when you sit down.

How the range is chosen

Every garment is measured flat against the size chart on its own page, checked for a twisted side seam and pressed before it is bagged. Dunedin weather decides a lot of what we buy: fabric has to hold a crease in a southerly and dry without a tumble dryer.

Washing and care

Knit pieces are washed cold and dried flat. Denim and woven skirts go inside out on a delicate cycle. If you are between two sizes, email your measurements and we will tell you which one to take rather than guess.

Buying from us

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days and estimated delivery is 15 business days. Shipping is estimated by distance at checkout. If a parcel is lost, tell us within 7 days of the expected delivery date; if it arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours so we can replace it. Returns are accepted within 30 days on unworn garments with the tags still on.
